Typical Day

We understand 2e children and help them access their gifts and pursue their passions.

We respect that children are individuals who learn according to their own unique patterns. Our schedule allows for socio emotional learning, group work, one-on-one learning, individual projects, free time, and creativity. Teachers create small classes with curriculum based on student interests. Math and Literacy Coaches work with students throughout the day.

Students receive up to an hour of individual coaching in Literacy, Math, Science, or Programming/Coding per week based on student interest and assessment levels.

Children arrive between 8:30 and 10:00. We have a flexible start time because many 2e kids are not morning people, traffic can be a problem, busy lives can cause morning delays, and rushing them can cause melt downs. We try to provide the least stressful start to your day as possible, since many 2e students are already struggling with sensory and anxiety issues.

When children arrive they are invited to ease into their day. For some of them, this means socializing and playing, others enjoy reading or creating art, some work on the computers or iPads, and many of them work on personal projects that reflect their interests.
